Dean Flaherty and the College of Business at UNLV are continuously looking for opportunities to provide programs and services that will benefit students, faculty, and the community.
One of the programs I am excited about is the Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup a nation-wide business plan competition for students. The competition pits students in Nevada, Arkansas, and Oklahoma against each other for the most developed business plan.
The event will culminate in a gala dinner hosted by Governor Guinn on April 27th in Reno or Carson City.
This competition begins laying the groundwork for the University’s move toward future entrepreneurship programs and degree.
This move to entrepreneurism reflects the character of our city and state. Las Vegas has been named number one in entreprenuerism and one of the best places to do business. We have a larger then average percentage of women owned business as well.
