A tablet computer was waiting for me when I got back from San Francisco. The gift is a “thank you” from WCR members for serving as their national president in 2005.
I’m liking it so far, although it takes some practice to get used to writing instead of typing. I think this will be a great tool for when I’m on the road or in meetings.
I’d also recommend this computer for someone who prefers to compose in long hand. I find that my writing has a different rhythm when I’m writing versus typing the words.
On a totally different subject, I finally started reading The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I’ve had the book for months and despite Judy’s rave review haven’t been inclined to start reading until now.
Let me add my voice to the choir. This book is lyrical, magical and romantic. I’m not quite done so I can’t tell you if it has a happy ending but so far, I’m enjoying the journey.
